which turn to take

Sometimes, when we find ourselves at a crossroads, it can be hard to know what turn to take. If both paths seem equal there may not necessarily be a right or a wrong route. However, what we can do, is compare the path ahead, as best we can see it, to our life learning so far, and our sense of where we want to be, to see if it adds up. Certain paths, even if they seem to take us in the right direction, may appear harder to take because they involve change or are unfamiliar.

Action: Whilst looking for difficulty is generally not necessary, it’s important not to avoid the right path because of it either. When we take that path we can sometimes surprise ourselves with how much easier it is than we at first expected, or we can find that the apparent challenge of the right path is in fact enjoyable. In any case, the right path tends to ultimately be an easier path to follow, as the the wrong path, no matter how apparently easy to follow, takes us away from who we are, and what we truly want in our lives.
