Ideas are great but they are nicely complimented by action. The mind is a great tool as it allows you to run experiments and to consider various alternatives. This lets you pre-test options to make sure that, as best as you can determine, that following them through would be good for you, the world and others. However it’s when you take action that you often realise the benefits of these ideas or, if they need refinement and improvement, you get to gather feedback and bring it back to drawing board to prepare for further action.
Action: Having gotten clearer on the approach you want to take you might want to write out a simple actions statement; how you can put what you’ve decided upon into practice in your daily life. This actions statement shouldn’t be too vague, but nor does it need to be ultra-specific; instead it should be straight-forward and practical, something that you can clearly imagine and can do each day. The results of taking action may be immediately rewarding or, like learning to walk as a child, it may take some practice, but either way improvement is likely to happen.
