In the Matrix construct scenarios there are four roles: the participant (Neo), the guide (Morpheus), the operator who loads the various sequences and the architect that designs them. The first two roles are precisely what I use in my work at the moment- with the third role of the operator being automatically served by the joint-imagination of the two of us. The constructs created in this way are very real, if by real we mean effective, as they can quickly produce any of a number of emotions and physical responses ranging from fear to happiness.
