Sometimes we question whether we have the underlying ability to achieve the changes in our life that we want. We might think ‘maybe I’m just not that kind of person’. While there are some things that our bodily capacity may limit us from doing—for example birds can fly and we can’t, or dogs typically have a much better sense of smell than we do—when it comes to how we think, feel and act there is normally a great range of possibility that we will never realise unless we explore it.
Action: Take a moment to reflect on your range of ability, in any area that you choose. No doubt there will have been low points, but just think how good you were able to feel or what you were able to accomplish at your highest point! You can probably go beyond this with practice, but even if you didn’t you’ve already demonstrated to yourself that you’re able to think, feel and act in the way close to how you want today.
