Sometimes we’re doing the right thing, but in a less effective way. Although we mean well when we tell ourselves we have to achieve something, all too often we’re creating additional pressure which inhibits our resourcefulness and our very capacity to achieve that thing.

Action: It can be helpful to, in a sense, give up on feeling that you have to achieve your goal. With the space that gives, you can then choose to do the very same thing. Although the action may be the same it feels like the difference between going for a jog versus being chased- all of the activity either way but none of the excessive pressure.
